Pasting isometric objects with a 3D model

Hello!

I am still quite new when it comes to learning about 3D aspects of CAD.

I have a beginners question I am curious about...and I am not authorized to post pictures yet.

So I had to made a 3D solid model with a SE Isometric view. Now the assignment I am doing calls for us to copy the objects from an old isometric drawing and paste it on the model space beside the 3D model.

Now, I know to paste it I will have to play with the UCS and the view to get it to look correct but I don't know anything about this really.

Any suggestions or what to try?

Ok, I just realized that I could adjust the views additionally on the layout viewports. So I think I have that part alright.

Now the suggested scales on the viewports were 1:10 and 1:5 but the objects then appear tiny in the viewports. I think I am missing something simple.
