Where is the directory you are saving the components? Im not very good with this because I have had issues before but I ran into troubles with a few things awhile back(things wouldnt render my animations) and I had to create a directory in the inventor folder to resolve my issue. When you create components using the design accelerator it actually creates the part and saves it in your acivte project. If the rest of your assembly components are in another directory I could see an issue with that.

Are your components in the same directory as the parts you created

All my drawings were origenally saved in the default project in my documents, and then tried to copy them to a new folder, which worked except for the design acc.I don't know how to get them in my new project.

did you copy their files over as well? are you opening your assembly file?

If you right click on the name in your design tree and go to the component menu there is a replace and a replace from content center options. The replace option will let you specify another file(component in another directory). replace from content center will let you recreate the component.
