Ritch7 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 good god ovbiously the best thing you want is a website where samples are provided search for it on here theres dozens of suggested sites and then look for the bike, I dont have enough energy to start listing them all lol It will be near impossible to get the exact model i guess but you should be able to get something like it Quote
bolton78 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Ive searched ritch be to no avial, even tryed contacting trek Quote
Cad64 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 These sites offer many different bikes. The models are not free though, and more than likely you will not find your specific bike. If you want your exact bike, you will probably need to model it yourself. http://www.exchange3d.com/cubecart/3D_catalog_3d%20mountain%20bike%20model.html http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm?FuseAction=ProcessSmartSearch&intStartRow=1&intMediaType=-1&istSearchKey=mountain+bike http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_search.aspx?id_category_0=0&search=mountain+bike Quote
Ritch7 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 they wont send it me oh god no, of course they wont, give someone they dont know their design drawings of their product = no way the best thing to do is search for it and buy it, or as cad64 suggested have a go at it yourself! good luck either way Quote
ReMark Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Just ride your bike down to the nearest business that offers 3D hand held scanning and I'm sure, for a price, that they would be happy to scan it and hand you a file back. It will most likely cost you more than the bike did. Quote
bolton78 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Well the bike cost £1200,so i aint paying kind kind of money out lol Quote
bolton78 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 cos im doing my house plan, and i am upto my new garage and looking to wall mount it,and just went to see how it looks before i actually mount it to the walls Quote
Cad64 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Well, you don't need your exact bike if you just want to see what it will look like. Just get a bike that looks similar to yours from one of those sites I posted. I'm sure any one of them would work for a stand in. Quote
Tankman Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 How's 'bout makin' your own *.dwg file? Insert image 'n draw around it for awhile. Build a bike! View the attached files. Get it? Fuel-5.5-Model.pdf Fuel-5.5a.dwg Fuel-5.5.dwg Quote

All good lookin' bikes! Quote
Tankman Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Looking like a good start Arthur Blaker. I don't know why he wants 3D, just hang a bike on the garage wall. I frequently use images in my drawings for starters. I then remove the image or set it so I can see dimensions. Not a 3D drafter, just 2D stuff. Quote
