DANIEL Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a drawing that I'm looking to create, the base files were sent to a contractor and now when i Xref them into a drawing they come in rotated and some squirly angle (the base file is not rotated at this angle nor is the UCS) determined by true north, why is this happening and how do I stop it. Thanks Quote
Tiger Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Are both your drawing and the contracters drawing set in World UCS? Could there be a difference in units? You draw in millimeters and the contracter in inches for example? Quote
DANIEL Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 ok, the world ucs was the problem, thanks. Quote
DANIEL Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 how do i rotate the world ucs as back to normal again? Quote
Tiger Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Well, the world UCS is always the World UCS... type UCS and the W (for world) and then you're in World UCS. If it looks weird, try typing PLAN and the C (for current)- then your UCS-icon should look normal again. IF this does nothing to solve your problem, I think we need more info on what is happening with your files. Quote
DANIEL Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 thanks, PLAN was the command I was looking for, hard to remember when you only use it once every 10 years lol, Quote
