alijahed Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Hi All, I have to explain the situation and hope I can do it well, just imagine I have a 3D Aluminium profile and I create a hole on it's surface. after I realized I did that wrong I want to refill the hole. what I usually do, is slice a piece of that extrusion and copy/move to the hole location and then use the Union command to refill the hole. but sometimes I should do 4 times slicing to catch a small piece of that extrusion and put it on the hole to cover the hole. Actually, I was thinking about a kind of Slice command which allows me to draw something (like circle or closed polyline) on a surface and then slice the object through the edges of that circle or Polyline, and then I have that piece of material which can cover the hole. Is there any command like that? or what's the smart way for doing that? I hope I could explain the situation well. any question just let me know. Thanks in Advance Cheers Ali Quote
Cad64 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Experiment with the SOLIDEDIT command. If you put a hole in the wrong spot, you can just delete it. Solidedit > Face > Delete Quote

fuccaro Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ... or you can even move the hole in the right position: Solidedit > Face> Move Quote
