I am currently working in Civil 3D 2008. Ever since its installation, I get this message when I open a drawing:

This drawing was created with a newer version of Civil 3D. All entities created by Civil 3D within this drawing are in a proxy state. Additionally, all commands, settings and displays of Civil 3D are disabled for the drawing.

2008 is the newest version that we have, so I don't know where Autocad is getting this from. I get this message on new drawings as well as old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

This question has been moved to the Civil 3D section.

Do you have previous installations still on your computer(s)? Are you opening dwgs via Windows Explorer? If yes on both it may be attempting to open the dwgs with a previous version.

Otherwise I have no idea.

Is it just when you fire up autocad or any dwg? it might be your template file.
