Hi, using Cad 2009 LT. (USA)

MSLTSCALE = 1

PSLTSCALE =1

LTSCALE =1

Getting very confused.

I need to draw a dashed utility line and I realize I cannot set the particular line by layer.

When I draw utility lines, I must click on each line and then set the linetype in the properties box to .5

My other option is to set the Celtscale to .5, do my lines, then must REMEMBER to reset the celtscale back to 1 when done before doing different lines. Forgetting to do this can really mess things up.

Are the methods above a correct way to make my lines? Is there a better way? Is there a way to custom make lines that I use frequently?

You can set the linetype scale for lines/polylines in a ToolPalette command. Just drag a polyline to the Toolpalette, rt-clk the command and set it under Properties. You can also set the Layer, Color, Linetype...

you could also select the line(s) and go to properties and change it to hidden in the linetype field

lpse that's a neat trick you got there :)

I drew a line and tried to drag it anywhere it would go on the menu ribbon, but I was unable to do it. I tried to create a new toolbar with a line, but am unable to customize it.

Doesn't LT have Toolpalettes? Tools > Palettes > Tool Palettes (or Ctrl+3) in full Acad.

That did work - thank you! I have a custom line at the size I want at a 1:1 scale. In layout viewport, the space between the dashes varies with annotation scale. Shouldn't the space remain constant?

Also - I did something and do not have the model, layout tabs at the bottom of the screen.

The linetype scale is dependent on the viewport scale, not the annotation scale (if you have Psltscale=1); they should plot at the same spacing.

Options > Display > Display Layout and Model tabs

tabs are fixed - thanks

MSLTSCALE & PSLTSCALE are both 1

but what i kept forgetting to do was regenall

Confused in how to interpret the display-

Annotation Visibility reads ANNOALLVISIBLE 0

What is selected here 1 for on or 0 for off
