So, does anyone know why all the sudden my CUI file is Read Only? Its on a network directory that I have full access to, but my MEP 2009 will not let me edit it. MEP 2008 works just fine. Weird... any quick answer? Thanks in advance.

Did you happen to open the 2009 with 2008? The CUIs aren't downward compatible; it make them read-only (at least that's happened to me when I tried 2008 > 2006 and tried to open it in 2008 again).

Do you mean did I make the CUI file in 2009? I made it in 2008 and since I upgraded to 2009 I haven't wanted to make changes to it until now.

My situation where the newer CUI was made read-only...

I had a custom CUI that I used in 2006. I loaded and edited it in 2008. When I loaded the same CUI in 2006, it was made read-only. I had to saveas and overwrite the file to remove the read only status. I learned not to try and mix the two versions.

Hey 3 grand
