RingSteel Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 When I try to run the spelling command in AutoCAD 2008, all I get is an AutoCAD message saying: "No dictionary specified. Could not start speller." I can't find where the dictionary is specified. Any ideas? Quote
Strix Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 well it's AutoCAD the first thing I'd try with anything like that is just type it at the command line and see if it spits it out then the help menus are worth a quick look  Quote

chelsea1307 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 if niether of these work its possible that somehow your dctionary file got moved or corrupted and then you need to replace it. Quote
RingSteel Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks Ipseifert for showing me where to find the setting. See the screenshot below, looks like I don't have a dictionary anymore. Does anyone know if I can just copy it from another version of AutoCAD or if this will take a re-install? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 you should be able to copy it from another autocad, and if that doesnt work try repair before un installing Quote
Tankman Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Try Options > Files > Text Editor, Dictionary, and Font File Names > Main Dictionary (select one) Had the same problem, thanks lpseifert! Worked as it should. Quote
