Hello everybody!

Are there any in-depth tutorials available for rendering in AutoCAD 2008/2009? After they introduced this new render engine, they (Autodesk) have not given any in-depth tutorials in their help nor in the web. I have also Google searched in vain. Are they really not available? I find this new render engine very difficult to learn. Even placing direct sunlight is a tedious process. It doesn't seem to be a straight and simple process. Why have Autodesk complicated things in their later versions? Is it because of this that many people have resorted to other software for rendering?

I have put another post which is also slightly related to this - but this post is to solve my own problem. We still would like to render in AutoCAD. Because of this problem with the new versions, I am forced to take the model to SketchUP and refine it there to suit SU and then render it in Kerkythea - which does give a good result - many thanks for its developers.

Where can I really get in-depth tutorials for creation & placement of lights, materials and rendering for the newer versions of AutoCAD?

Thanks in advance
