View Full Version : Projecting clothes onto a body?

I've made a character awhile back which is an editable mesh with a skin and bones, and also made him some cloths (also a mesh) which fit. However, I changed his size and the cloths no longer fit him anymore, so I need to figure out the easiest way to make his cloths fit again. I realize I could have just re-sized him along with his cloths at the same time, but that would defeat the purpose. I had an idea which included scaling up the cloths with soft selection to be roughly outside of his mesh instead of inside, and then using Compound Object -> Conform to project the cloths back onto him, then go from there. However I was largely unsuccessful when trying to figure out how to use it with the reference guide. I also tried to use skin wrap, but even when changing the variables at random, it never gave me a different result. Skin Wrap is never explained in the context of using it to fit cloths back on a mesh either, which complicates matters. I've only ever used skin wrap to convert a low poly character into a high poly character, then back into a mesh, which means I only use all the lowest variables.

If anyone has any ideas as to how to achieve this I would be very grateful.
