I have created a custom title block with customer name, drawing #, drawing title, date, scale, drawn by, etc.

When I insert the title block, the items do not prompt in the order that I want them. I can modify this AFTER it is inserted with the BATTMAN command, but how do I control the order in the title block drawing itself so that it inserts with the information in the order I want? ( I want customer name/location first)

Thanks for the help.

Insert the title block into a blank file as a block (drawing1.dwg). Open it in the block editor and change the attribute order by selecting Attribute Order from the context menu with an attribute selected. Close the block editor and save changes to all references. Then select the block and use the WBLOCK command.

The Block radio button should be checked by default (due to a block being selected), the current path of the block should be listed in the File Name and Path drop down, but I usually click the [...] button to browse to it anyway. It should ask you if you want to overwrite, select Yes and voila, your original title block file should be overwritten with the updated attribute order.

OK Max, I'm probably making this way more difficult than it should be...I'm in Block Editor, but I can't find the context menu. Where is it? (I can use either Acad Mechanical 2008 or Acad 2008.

Thanks for your time.

Nevermind...I figured it out. Context menu = Rt. Click.

Thanks again!

the order is also determined by your selection when creating the block.
