Hello all:

I knwo this may be wayyyy out there and might not be able to get help, but i thought i would ask because I am stuck yet again!

I am using AutoCAD 2009 and Civil3D 2009. and I have run into the issue where My scale of the drawing for plotting is 1:250, so i set each viewport to 4. However when our plotter plots everything it is off by like 1.4mm, which is a pain and when it comes to constructing everything it HAS to be correct. We are using the HP design jet 500 with a paper size of 24x36in (landscape). I dont know if anyone else has come across this problem before, or if theres a correction i should apply to my viewports to make them plot propoerly with a 1:250 scale. if anyone has insight let me know, again i figured thisis probably just an issue with our specific plotter, but i thought i would give it a try

-Always greatful for the help

ciao!

We have that same plotter, and it we've had the same type of problem. Try setting your paper size to 22"x34" rather than 24"x36". There may be something in the driver/software that attempts to do a "scale to fit" which may be over riding the 1:1 scale.

That's what we've done and it's worked pretty good so far.

Well that paper size didnt plot properly either, but i managed to override what the plotter wants to do and set it back to 1:1 and now it works! thanks for the help. Man its always the simplest answer that fixes the issue! i feel dumb :)

Thanks again, problem solved
