Scott44 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I wasnt sure where the best place was to ask this question. I'm upgrading from 2990 MEP to 2010 MEP and I was wondering the best way to keep all my settings. I remember last time it asked me if I wanted to migrate and I said yes. And I also had my profile that was an .arg file that i brought in...DOes anyone know the best way I should be doing this? Quote
MiGo Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Im not sure if this is the best way, but the way that I keep track of my settings is exporting my profile to create a snapshot of it's current state and send that to a personal folder. Then I import a profile and select the one that I had exported. Set the imported one as current and your toolbars/pallets/settings should all be placed accordingly. If toolbars changed between years then there may be some placement issues, or if they don't exist anymore then they won't show up. By 2990 do you mean 2009 or 1990? Quote
tzframpton Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 What kind of settings/tools exactly are you wanting to successfully migrate over? Quote
