I have a staircase which is meant to appear as folded steel but i i cant seem to create a a polyline that will snap to the over hanging treads it is always just off the of the courner point even if it says it has snapped to it. obviously i have change the ucs to be able to make a polyline at that side. i have tried switching many of the snap features off, with and without dynamic snap and being patient

but as i have to do this with evey rising as they are on a diffrent angle i don't have time to spend another three days staying at the same point i need to render please help:)

Sorry but I just found out there's a 3dpolyline '3dpoly' command. That may help as my problem was similar to yours? Or maybe not.
