crosscad Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Hi I am attempting to import my autocad file into Revit; it is treated as one entity with not 3d properties:( Even if I do a partial explode to edit the drawing there is still no 3d ie. walls, doors, windows, furniture ect.. Are you unable to import your 3dmodel from Autocad to Revit? Has anyone been working with this or have any suggestions? Any help would be apprec. I am importing ACA 2008 into Revit Arch. 2008 Thanks! crosscad Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Ok, I red another link and it seems if I export to IFC I have 3d preserved but I lose some other qualities such as imported lineweight controls, ect. Which is better to work on the model? Is there a way to get both? How does everyone else work on models from ACA to Revit? Any best practices or suggestions? Thanks!! Quote
