I have lost the drop down menu at the top of the screen that should read:

file/edit/view/insert/format/tools/draw/dimension/modify/window/help

any ideas how I can find it to get it back? I have reloaded my installation cd and it aint there.

Try typing MENUBAR at the command line and setting to the value of "1". Does that work?

no joy, it doesnt recognize the command 'menubar', says its an unknown command, perhaps I have lost my CUI files? 'Michael from the corner' is on a similar wavelength and has suggested I type 'Menu', and try and find the ACLT.CUI file, but it didnt recognize that command either, so me thinks perhaps I have lost my support files? I could do a search I guess. If that doesnt work, is it possible someone can send them to me?

I'm an idiot. I should have said MENULOAD.

You'll have to use your Browse window and navigate to the folder where the acadlt.cui file is located and load it. Maybe you'll get lucky and the folder will be the default. I'm only guessing at the name of the AutoCAD LT .cui file though. I think I'm close.

you are a star ! I have repathed it, having typed in options in the command line, and gone into main customizations files, it was pathed to the wrong place, repathed it to where it should have been in program files, and bingo, we have a result.:D

Much obliged, have a good day !

That's good news. Can't say I had much to do with it. Just makes me wonder though how things got messed up in the first place. Thanks for updating us on the status of your problem.
