How would i create this shape?

Hi guys, another day ,another problem:P

What would be the best way to create the below shape?
I dont need the holes just the shape, im using real measurements.

Is splines the way to go? Im not used them much at all.


A step by step guide would be greatly appreciated as im using max more and more now.

Yes, you could use splines in Max, but I generally draw 2D shapes like this in Autocad and then Import them into Max and Extrude. It's much easier and faster to create precise linework in Autocad. Especially if the measurements need to be exact.

Indeed , this is what i thought. Trying to keep triangle count to a minimum for use in my application after max.

i.e models will have no internels.

For some reason i thought perhaps creating a model in max would be a way to save model size.

I find splines quite inacurrate the majority of the time!
