Problems with layers

I'm having a problem with layers that I've never encountered before, when I have a drawing open with multiple layers I can't change objects or lines into one of the other layers.

For example, I have a polyline created in "0" layer, I highlight the line go to my layers toolbar and select "building: layer, usually this would change the line from "0" to "building". But it doesn't...nothing happens, my line is simply deselected and I'm now in building layer.

I work from two computers, one is working fine and the other has this problem. My cross-shift tends to like to personalize his computer and tinker around with settings, but I have no idea what he's done or if this is just a CAD error.

Anyone got any ideas?

I'm using AutoCAD 2009 with an add-on called Amine, which I'm sure I'm the first to be on here with that!

Try changing PICKFIRST to 1. Welcome to the posting!
