pokes04 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I have been working with ACAD for many years, and I have been doing something over and over, and I never really thought about, it was just the way it is. But now I am sure there has to be a better way. I work with maps built into grids 2000' x 3000' and each one is a separate DWG due to file size. now within those grids there are service areas that may cover up to 10 grids (DWGs). Right now I open one do the changes, then open the one next to it and do a border match by xrefing in the one i just finished, etc. Or I draw everything in 1 map then wblock the new information out, insert it in to the appropriat DWG then Explode and trim. I think you get the picture. What I want to know is if there is a way to bring all of the maps together edit them all at once and have them save back to there respective files. Is this possible? Thanx for any help or comments. Quote
ReMark Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I don't believe that is possible in AutoCAD. If I am wrong someone will come along and straighten both of us out. Quote
Cad64 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 If you have them all Xreff'd into one drawing, can't you just REFEDIT each one as necessary? Quote
