Hi,

Using refedit, I get this error (warning)

Select objects: 1 found

Select objects: Block was not added to the work set.

Its name conflicts with a block already in the work set.

It is a window block that I have in several places in modelspace.

Used to work in 2007/8/9....

No it is not block in a block, but a block with the same name is already in the working set.

Not really answering the problem, but could you use BEDIT instead? Or do you need to edit in place?

Posted

Yes i need to edit the block in place.

Looking down a variables list, I've noticed that REFEDITNAME has been changed for 2010 but I have no idea how (I've never used it myself). I don't have 2010 so can't check but I'm wondering if this might have something to do with it?

REFEDITNAME

(Read-only)

Type:StringSaved in:Not-savedInitial value:""

Displays the name of the reference being edited.

Just throwing out ideas here:

Can you explode the block and redefine it?

Or how about using the RENAME command and change the name of the block?

:? Ok, that's very peculiar. Why is your question worded exactly the same as kari_sinkko in the link you posted? I mean it's like you copied and pasted it. Are you really having this problem or are you just playing games?

Yes copy and paste because i have the same problem.

In the future, please don't copy and paste. Type out your own questions, in your own words.

Your problem may be similar, but it is not exactly the same.

Can you provide a little more information about what YOU are trying to do?

We know you are trying to Refedit a block.

But what are you trying to add to the block, another block?

Have you tried using BEDIT instead of REFEDIT?

...Have you tried using BEDIT instead of REFEDIT?

I asked that one already.
