Hello there ladies and gents, I am rather stuck, again :D

I am wondering if someone would please help me! I am having a problem filleting 3 cylinders, I am creating a bicycle stand and I cannot get a 90 degree fillet on the three cylinders, could anyone possibly show me how to do this as I need to get it done soon.

Many many many thanks for your wonderful help!

Josh!

Have you gone through the tutorials in my signature? See the tutorial on Skeletal Modeling.

BTW - I would use a true 3D mechanical CAD program like Inventor rather than AutoCAD for something like this. Especially as a student preparing for the future. Students can download Inventor for free from http://engineersrule.org

draw out the centre line of the frame.

orientate your ucs and draw a circle to represent your tube and use the sweep command to follow the c/l path.

So will the sweep command generate a solid 3D object with a cylinder all the way around? I will attach a drawing to this post, to show you what i've done so far, thank you guys, you are amazing!

Just a quick update for you guys, I finished my design thanks to your help.

I had to fillet the corners of the Polyline, then draw the circle, and then select the circle, and then the polyline, and it gave me my finished piece.

Just thought i'd upload it to show you how much you've helped me. I really do appreciate everything you guys have helped me with, thank you!

Good job there.

If you wanted to make it as a tube when you do the initial circle, offset the thickness of the pipe and then sweep. that should give you a wall thickness when it comes to fabrication drawings (flatshot)

yeah, what stevsmith said. polyline, circle, sweep, 3 steps, 2 minutes, better finished product.
