hi i need help in drawing gears and cams and sprrings and screws using autocad in 2d & 3d if posible

I know for a fact that Ellen Finkelstein did a good tutorial on drawing 3D screws as have a couple of other people. I think your best bet would be to try using your search engine and type in the following including the quotation marks and plus signs:

"autocad"+"gear"+"tutorial"

Substitute the words cam, spring and screw for gear as required. You should get a fair number of responses. You might also try looking at some of the tutorials forum member J.D. Mather has at his website. You can find him via the Members List link above.

If you have Mechanical (I'm unsure as you're posting in the Mechanical section but list Vanilla in your profile?), then with 2009 there should be objects you can simply insert as springs and screws. (See below).
