Is there a way to copy data from an OLE in an existing drawing (that came from a different company) to an Excel spreadsheet? I've tried copy and paste, however I get a message in Excel that it cannot paste the data. It is quite an extensive list that I am hoping not to have to retype. Thanks

if you right click the ole you should get the option to open in excel and then you can save it to your computer

Thanks for the reply. However, when I right click I get an option to open (does not specify excel) and when I choose this I get an error message that says "Failed to launch server application". I have even tried by having Excel open first. Any other thoughts?

sounds like it wasnt created in excel or possibly created in a newer version of excel, and that you dont have the program that created it. Could you find out from the company you got it from what program they created it in or if they could just send you the file?
