I'd like to know if there's an automatic way to move multiple entities to a specific plane. For example, in my drawing, I have lines placed at different heights and I would like to move them all to the same plane, so that instead of having a 3D drawing I’d have a 2D drawing.

I'm using AutoCAD 2007.

Thanks.

It sounds like you only want to move some objects not all. Is that correct?

And you basically want them to have a "Z" of 0?

Did you know you can extract 2D views of 3D objects? Would that be of any use to you?

ReMark, are you talking about Flatshot? Does this only work for a 3d solid?

uhanam, are you trying to keep your 3d lines as well as your 2d projection?

No, I want to move them all. And yes, to the z=0 plane.

Would I be able to modify the drawing afterwards? Or it would bee like taking a screenshot?

I want all the entities to be in the same plane, physically not just in a projection.

Yes, Flatshot works only on 3D solids. If the OP just has 3D entitites and not solids then Flatshot is of no use.

You want to use the FLATTEN command then. I think you'll find it in Express Tools.
