simultaneous Rotation of two geared shafts

I have two gears on shafts that i wish to rotate together to see the effect of attachments on the shafts. i use inventor pro 2009

please can you assist.

Booker, are you just trying to move them in the assembly environment or are you trying to do a dynamic analysis? If this is just the assmebly you can apply a constraint. The constraint will just be a dummy, meaning you rotate one gear and the other rotates based on a ratio you give it. If you do this in dynamical simulation its based off contact.

To apply the constraint just do as you would a standard assembly constraint and click on the motion tab. on each tab should be a ? that will take you to the help for each if you need clarification.
