Have the originator send you a copy of the linetype definition to add to your acad.lin file.

You can export it with a lisp file, go here and find the file for exporting.

Where does that lisp save the NEW-ACAD.LIN file. It didn't show up on a scan of my machine?

I'm not sure why it works the way it does but you should find the new-acad.lin file saved to the last folder you saved a drawing to. I just tested the routine myself and was puzzled by where the file ended up even though I tested it on a drawing from a totally different folder. Very odd. But, none-the-less, the file was created and saved to the hard drive.
