Car5858
The up grade will help, also make sure that you have the latest service pack installed. I remember reading about this issue in the update files.
ReMark
Does the laptop have a dedicated graphics card or does it rely upon an integrated chip? What else is running in the background during the rendering process? Has the temporary Internet file folder been cleaned out recently? How much free space is available on the hard drive? Car5858
integrated chip, only the autocad is running nothing else, 194gb hdd i'll keep an update. The integrated chip may be the problem. What are the properites of the Chip?
ReMark
An integrated graphics chip does works fine for spreadsheets, word processing, email, searching the Internet and other mundane tasks. But as soon as you start trying to push rendering then it is going to bog down and resort to stealing from system memory (RAM) to complete the process. This is where things will start to get dicey and in some cases a crash will occur. Can this laptop be fitted with a dedicated graphics card?
