Polly Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Can I use measure command with block w/attribute? I tried the attribute didn't show up. What did I do wrong? Any help will be appricated. Quote
David Bethel Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I learned something new today From Autocad help for measure: >> After you specify the segment length, AutoCAD inserts the block at the specified interval. If the block has variable attributes, these attributes are not included. -David Quote
Polly Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I figure. Do you have a quick way to do alignment without Land Desktop?Because I don't have land desktop. To do measure is alright, but it take a long time to put the station number. Please let me know if you have some idea to make this task quick and easy. Thank you so much. Quote
David Bethel Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 It wouldn't be real quick or very easy, but you could write a custom AutoLISP routine to replace the blocks inserted during the measure command with attributed blocks. I tried updating the inserts using the command insert blockname=blockname without luck. -David Quote
Polly Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I tried that also. I don't know how to write lisp routine. Does anyone have it? If so, please send it to me. If I can do that, all I have to do just modify the station number. Right now I have to copy text, then rotate some and change station number. It is time consuming, but I have no choice unless someone has a better idea to share with me. Quote
