craigj Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 In model space I do my dashed lines with a ltscale of 50 to show up the dashes correctly. When I make a viewport in paperspace I then have to change the ltscale back to 1, which in turn changes the model space ltscale back to 1 as well. Is there any way around this so I can set my paperspace ltscale to a different one than my model space or am I stuck with it? Quote
Tiger Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I'd say your stuck with it. It takes a while to get used to not really caring what the lines look like in Model Space - the important thing is that it looks good in Paper Space. Trust that you have set the correct linetype on the correct lines and leave it at that. Quote
craigj Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Thanks for the quick reply. I guess that would be the same answer for different paper space view points as well? When I am doing draughting work most of the floor plans will be to 1:50 scale, and my details will be 1:5 which I assume would need a different ltscale. Quote
NBC Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 When in in paperspace set PSLTSCALE to a value of 1, AND set LTSCALE to a value of 1. When in modelspace, set LTSCALE to a value that inversely matches the scale of the viewport that you wish to show that part of the model in (e.g. your floor plans will be at 1:50 scale on paperspace, so when in modelspace, you would set your LTSCALE to a value of 50.) craigj Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 I set the psltscale to 1 and the ltscale to 1 in paper space. Then went back to model space and set the ltscale to 50, which then converted the paper space back to ltscale of 50.. Quite perplexing. Quote
NBC Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Ltscale is set across the whole of the whole drawing file; without some form of customisation, it is a manual process to interchange between model and paper spaces. Quote
craigj Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Woops sorry, I should have read your explanation better. Thanks for the help. Quote
