JoeC Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I've never had a customer send me a .dwf file before...until today. I guess they don't want us to modify it? I know about dwfattach for underlaying and to view the file, but is there a way to convert this to a .dwg? .dwf is a plot file, right? Quote
tzframpton Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 ya and I don't think there's a way. Can you not request the CAD file? They sent a DWF for a reason, probably to not be able to edit it. Quote
JoeC Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Yea, this is one of those "consultants" we're working with on a project. He expects us to send him .dwg files, but he doesn't want to send us his .dwgs!! Go figure. Quote
Ryder76 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Who is the lead contractor for this job? That may be who determines who gets what type of file. If your company is the lead you may be able to require he give you the file. But sometimes just asking nicely for it gets more results.
