GCarr78 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Okay, haven't seen this in any thread yet so hoping someone could help me out. I have an attributed block, within this block I have separate attributes within that block to which I can assign separate numerical values. (ie. QTY 1 = 5, QTY 2 = 3, QTY 3 = 5 etc..). Is there a way I can create an attribute within the same block that can automatically total all my entered QTYs and provide me with a number as an attribute or field within the same block? I'm using AutoCAD 2007, maybe this is a feature available with a newer version? Quote
Commandobill Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Not that i know of but there are many ways to do that in a lisp. Quote
dbroada Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I am sure it can be done with fields but they may not be available with 2007, I have 2008. Create youe block in BEDIT, select your text and insert field. One of the options is to insert a formula. Quote
GCarr78 Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 dbroada - You're right it can be and I tried just as you said. However it requires me to select a range of cells within a table, I'm not using a table this is a straight attribute to be included within a block of several other attributes. Quote
