fuches Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I have been using autocad for 13 years. I am currently using Acad 2008. Throughout the years, I have tweaked, added, modified my default file (residential construction). I am at the point where I want a clean, simple default file with less junk etc. I have about 7 font styles and I only want 3. I have exploded all my blocks and manually changed all the font styles, went through all my dimension styles and changed the font style, have purged everything I don't want, re-created all my blocks, purge again, etc, etc. Yet - I STILL have some fonts that I can't seem to get rid of. I changed the unwanted fonts to "wingdings" just so they stand out and I can eliminate them faster, but no luck. Is there a lisp file or something I can do to either: a) find out where these unwanted fonts are burried b) do a hardcore purge c) convert ALL fonts to a single font. Another thing I have tried is to freeze all layers except my text layer, then CTRL A and through the properties box, change my font style. This does change everything on my screen but I am still left with unwanted fints. I have seen this scenario on other forums, but I don't think anyone has come up with a solution. Thanking anyone who helps in advance.... Quote
chelsea1307 Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 have you tried to thaw all layers to make sure the text wasnt put on a different layer then your usual text layer? Quote
David Bethel Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I've found the culprit to be DIMSTYLEs in some drawings. The can be purged as long as they are not referenced. Also SHAPEs reference .shx files. Any of those around? -David Quote
fuches Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 I have thawed all layers and have done the CRTL A - then in my properties box, selected "text only" - and changed the text style. Still no luck. As for the "shapes" reference... I don't know. I never created any shapes. truth be known, every time I purge anything, the "shapes" reference is never an option. Any other ideas?
