AQucsaiJr Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I use PLINE's and RECTANGLE's to surround objects and text on my drawings that I need to change and then use the CLOUD command to convert them to clouds. The way the button works, it does not allow my to select multiple objects and just convert them all to clouds at the same time. Is there a way for me to convert a bunch of selected PLINE/RECTANGLE's, all at once, to clouds? Quote
CADMASTER1128 Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Try typing REVCLOUD in the command line. Then hit enter. Circle the area you want to put in the cloud and connect it. AutoCAD will end the command on it's own. Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 REVCLOUD works great... I use it right now to convert Objects, like rectangles, into clouds. I use objects because it makes a much cleaner circle, or rectangle around things. Free hand, I have found, is not as precise. I would like to be able to create a bunch of rectangles and convert them all to clouds. " If this is possible". It might save me a few clicks, but I was just trying to see if there was a better way than the one I am using already. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Read through the autocad help file on macros, you can set your button up so that it will continue to run the REVCLOUD command to convert objects. Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 oh really.... I'll have to check that out. Quote

Are you saying the REVCLOUD is to much freehand for you? Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 REVCLOUD, from my experience with it, does not make straight lines and precise circles. So what I do is create circles, squares, and PLINEs around what I want to cloud and then convert those shapes to clouds. I am open to suggestions on how to make this easier. Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 When I say straight lines and precise circles, what I mean is, I use a small arc for the clouds, it a standard we set for clouds. So when I need to cloud somthing, I ussually have to fit the cloud inside a small space. What I have come to figure out is that it is easier to create a small square or PLINE around what I need to cloud, and then convert that small square or PLINE to a cloud, rather than try to "free hand", if you can call it that, a cloud that fits into this small space. I find it also looks a little cleaner as well. Quote
