Hello,I have a question pertaining to using templates in 2000.once you open the template to create a drawing how do you set the drawing limits within the template.I have tried everything but nothing is working.for exampla I need to use say a A-size template and be able to format it to draw 10' items and then later use the same template to draw a 3" item in it.hopefully someone will understand what I mean.mainly just how to set the drawing limits within the templates.

Objects are drawn full size in model space. Title blocks and borders go in paper space. A viewport is created in paper space through which you see the objects drawn in model space. The viewport is scaled. The whole thing is plotted from paper space at a scale of 1:1 no matter what scale you have used for the viewport. Using scaled viewports allows you to show items of various sizes whether they be as big as an ocean liner or as small as a pin head. Use a scale that best displays what you are trying to show.
