Files extensions

Hi all !!!

I am new with autocad. I have been saving all the files as a .dwg. Maybe i will get a junior draughtsman position but i need to know all the information about extensions such as .dws, .dwt. .dxf. Also i`ve heard about .dxs ???. I will be very grateful for any help.

P.S Have anyone heard about Nesting on Materials ???

DXF - Drawing interchange format. For exchanging drawings between different CAD programs.

DWT - Drawing template file.

I think DWS is the Drawing Standards file.
