slow response for undo command

When I use the undo command, the response takes about 5 - 10 seconds. From what I have noticed, the delay occurs and then if the command is applied multiple times, the delay occurs again every 5 or 6 times. I don't recall undo taking this long before.

 

I have recently done a standard re-install of AutoCAD.

 

Anybody have suggestions.

I always use "U". Is CTRL-Z better?
