I have created a template file (DWT) which I have created page set ups for each layout, eg, A1 gas design plots to the Black and white, A0 ELEC design plots to the colour. I have set these up on my machine and re-saved the dwg and DWT, which is then accessed by 3 other guys to use in the office when creating new drawings. The problems they are getting is that the page setups ive created dont appear on their plotting screen so they have to pick the plotter and paper size every time! Why is it doing this?? It works fine on my machine. We are all mapped to the template file which is saved on the server and I know they are using the same DWT cos we regularly make changes to our template.

Please help and put me out of my misery!

This may happen because your co-workers may have their printers named differently to yours, and you will also need to share your pen settings files (.ctb's or .stb's) on the network also.

If you are certain you are all using the same DWT file then my guess is that you are plotting Layouts and they are plotting from MS (or the opposite). The page setups are specific to the layout tab and to MS tab, so plotting from one the page setups will not appear.

One possibility is that the printer you are selecting for the page setup is connected to your computer but not showing up on the network.

OR

The printer is on the network but your subordinates don't have the printer added to their "Printers and Faxes" yet on their own computers.

Sometimes network printers won't show up unless you manually add them first on each computer. And if they haven't added the appropriate plotters to their computers, the page setup will always be unable to find the plotter used in the page setup... Thus, the template would be unable to specify plotter, sheet size, etc.. Even if that is all added on your own computer.

Thanks guys - the problem was that my printers were renamed and they werent showing to other machine. So now we have all the same named printers and life is much easier!!
