Setting Text Size In Multileader

Can't seem to set the text size when using multileader. The text formatting window comes up but I can't set the size of the text. When I go into Modify Multileader Style, then content, the text height buttons are dead. This is 2009LT I'm using.

 

OK, I got to set the text size, now the text string is way off to the right of the leader landing. Thoughts?
