Ells Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Our CAD department is using AutoCAD 2004 and our engineers are using 2004 LT. I set up drawings with different layout tabs for making halfsize drawings or PDF files or full size drawings. When one of the engineers plots a drawing they are able to change the CTB file for all the layouts because they usually plot in model space and get that option when they choose their ctb file. Is there a way to lock a CTB file to a layout and only be able to change it if a password is entered or something like that? Quote
rkmcswain Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 If they are just plotting, take away their ability to save the drawing through file permissions. Quote
Ells Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 They are actually doing their design in AutoCAD so they have to save their work but usually we get markups to work on. I want to find a way to stop the box from popping up asking if you want to use that CTB for all layouts, that just does not make sense. Quote
rkmcswain Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I don't know of any way. If you find out, please post back and share. Thanks. In the meantime, I'll revert to one of my favorite rules in the business world... "Don't let a management problem become a technology problem" Quote
