Lag between command and using the mouse.

I finally figured out how to cure the mouse lag (wasn't tracking right within the CAD screen - was going too slow). Now my problem is that after typing in a command, I have to wait a full second or so before I can click on the mouse. If I click too fast, it doesn't do anything.

Which is quite annoying because I'm extremely fast when it comes to that kind of thing.

Does anyone know of a setting somewhere that I can play with to decrease this delay?
