D-Zyne Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Howdy- First time posting. Sometime last month, my AutoCAD 2008 settings seem to have spontaneously reset themselves. When I attempt to draw a 3D solid, there appears to be some ORTHO-type locking function activated that only lets my commands work in the X or Y or Z planes but only one at a time. The ORTHO and OSNAP commands are off so this doesn't seem to be the problem. Possibly related to this is the fact that my viewpoint is locked; if I'm in TOP view, cut/copy an object, switch to FRONT view, and paste the object, it pastes as if it were in TOP view. I've only recently switched up from 2006 so perhaps there are features I'm not familiar with but when I revert to 2006, everything works as normal. Any suggestions? Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I believe you may be running into the dynamic UCS curse. Look that up in help to see how you can turn it off. I'm taking a stab at the problem, I have a much older AutoCAD release. Quote
