I have an issue where I use a duct drawing program that runs with Autocad. I have 2009 BTW. When I try to send it to someone else they can't see the duct. I found out that I needed to get an enabler to allow their version to understand the information to show the duct. However it seems that they need a minimum of 2006 for this to work. The maker of the duct drawing software told me to try to save with the proxy graphics, said there is a checkbox. I went into the options and there is a scroll window that already says show proxy graphics the checkbox in close proximity says show proxy information dialog box. I check it and saved and the file was smaller even though I was informed that is would be larger. My guess is that it is already turned on? Can anyone shed some light on this. I am pretty much at the point of telling the other people they have to upgrade or I can't help them.

What version of what software are they running? What duct work program do you use?

It is called CCS ver 3.0 I belong to the Sheet Metal Workers union and it was developed by the international. Actually a pretty nice program. I like it better then previous duct drawing programs I have used
