Hey guys, I know it's been years since my last post but I'm having a crazy problem with AutoCAD and blocks that just won't explode to go their own special ways.

I've tried explode, xplode, burst, ncopy, laydel, and just about every other method I can think of to get the entities on their rightful layers.

A little background, I work for an MEP firm and we get floor plans from various architects and use them to put in our stuff. Whenever we receive a new floor plan, the first thing we do is consolidate the huge amount of layers and objects to just what we need to function. We call this cleaning a background.

Now, I have a slew of blocks of doors that have been "misinserted", so they can't be exploded and have their linetypes redefined.

If anyone has any ideas on what I could do here, that'd be great...

Thanks!

Try BEDIT the block, in the block editor, with nothing selected, prompt the properties, you'll see under Block>Allow exploding>Yes/No option

Ok so I figured it out... Turns out, the block was "MINSERTED", or Multi-Inserted...

The only way of exploding those (that I could find), was by using a lisp routine called ExplodeM I found here: http://www.xanadu.cz/en/download.asp?file=ExplodeM
