JM16A2 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Hello, I am working with AutoCAD 02. I am in the process of developing a working drawing using 3D objects in an Isometric View. My problem is that when I go to plot the object is in wire frame mode and plots the lines that would not be viewed. I hope I explained that right. What I am looking for is to plot while using the HIDE command. I have not found any other thread addressing this issue so if you have any suggestions or could point me in the right direction. Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 From model space start your plot command. Under Plot Settings tab there is a checkbox to "Hide Objects" in Plot Options - check that then do a "Full Preview" to see what it will look like. Quote
JM16A2 Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Hey Patrick thanks for the info, I followed your directions and its exactly the way I need it. Now is it the same procedure in Paper Space because that is were I originally was having the problem. Quote
Guest Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 To hide a 3-D model inside a viewport, you need to use MVIEW --> HIDE --> ON (then select your viewport you want to hide) Other options may inclued useing the SOLDRAW/SOLVIEW commands to get the desired effect. Quote
JM16A2 Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Secret, that is exactly what I needed, thanks a bunch and now I know both ways of plotting through model and paper space, so thank you Patrick and Secret. Quote
