Issue with updating a block

:?I recieved a drawing from a client who wants to update a block. When I use the attsync the existing block will update but the text goes upside-down and backwards. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

 

Attached is a clipped portion of what is going on.

Working in Acad 2005 and have available Lt2010.
