I have my background inserted as a xref in my drawing. I then have all me specified info drawn on top of that. However, when printing the XREF is on top of the drawing. Example: I run conduit lines(on drawing) through walls(in xref) and when printed the wall lines are visable over the conduit lines.:? Im printing in monocrome but have most of the colors set to print as 253 and the basic colors set to print as black/white.

Is there a way to get my conduit(drawing) lines on top of the xref?

Did you tried typing DRAWORDER in the command line? Than sending the Xref to the back
