Crank_It Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 So Ive just picked up the 3d aspects of ACAD and have built my entire building and added materials and 3 lights. However when I go to render, the window either renders the building all white (as if at has no material) or it just renders a blank black screen in certain views. Due to my relative noobism with the program I'm sure im missing something in my process. Any help would be appreciated. PS. I'm using ACAD 2010 if that helps Quote
elmarphil Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Hi, I too encounter the same problem with AutoCAD 2010. I once created a 3D office with lights, it rendered well. However, on my second attempt, I created a different file containing 3D office furnitures and lights. It renders to a black screen. When I delete the lights, it renders as if no light element is present and the objects are visible. Is there a patch for this to function correctly? Quote
ctt Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Slightly off topic and sorry to hijack the thread but is it possible to produce photo realistic images in autoCAD 2010? I'm currently doing an internal fit-out for a fast food restaurant and the client has requested photo realistic images. It is very similar to McDonalds, HUNGRY JACKS, etc. is it possible to produce a detailed drawing with as little as 10mm shadow lines, bulkheads, lights, counters and everything elese you would see when you walk into one of the above stores? elmarphil Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Hello again, I just found out the solution to my problem "as stated above". The light intensity had to be changed from the default value of 15000Cd to 500000Cd. Maybe more to make evrything brighter. Quote
