pvd Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Hi all, With this new Autocad lay-out I often can't find my commands anymore as the new look is quite different from the classical view. Can somebody tell me where I can find the Format tab? Or how do I change pointstyle, textstyle, dimstyle, etc. in the new Autocad lay-out? Thanks very much Quote
pvd Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 Hi all again, meanwhile I found dimstyle (Annotate tab - Dimensions - next to "select a dimension style) and textstyle (Home tab - Annotation scrolled down - text style) so sorry for bothering, still looking for pointstyle though.... Quote
ReMark Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I had the same experience when I moved from 2007 to 2009. That's why I created a customized version of the Ribbon with the commands I use the most often on it. Quote
ReMark Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 You can change your point style by typing DDPTYPE at the command line. That should bring up the Point Style window. There is no option for Point Style on the Ribbon. The option that is available is called Multiple Points. You'll find this on the Home Tab > Draw Panel. Click the arrow in the lower left-hand corner. Look in the top row for the icon of a small circle (almost like a degrees symbol) with the arrow next to it. That gives you the Divide and Measure commands. You want another option you'll have to do some customization of some sort. Quote

pvd Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks for your help guys. Meanwhile I've find something else: you can bring back the menu-bar (File-Edit-View-Insert-Format-Tools...) by rightclicking in the upper bar that holds "new", "open", "save",... and then you can choose "Show Menu Bar" which brings back a lot of functions from the earlier version but still in the new look. Thanks again! Quote
