chelsea1307 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 So my boss has finally decided it would be a good idea to standardize the plotters used by the office for autocad. So when plotting a 24x36 from my computer would be the same from any other computer in the office. The plan is to get all wanted plotters and sizes on my computer and then make the rest of them match. Ive looked in the folder that my autocad searches for plotters that has the pc3 files but it doesnt have files for all the plotters that I use with autocad. Pretty much its missing all the plotters/printers that we regularly use. Our big oce plotter, our little laserjets our color printer, should those be in there? if they should how do i make pc3 files for them Quote
ReMark Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Don't you have to have the drivers for each plotter/printer to make a pc3 file? Quote
ReMark Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Come to think of it shouldn't the pc3 files be stored on the network? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Some of them are, im trying to figure out how i can plot to my laserjet from autocad but there isnt a pc3 file in the location with all my pc3 files. Quote
ReMark Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Ever see the ad that goes...Got drivers? Cannot set up the laserjet without Windows' drivers. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 the printer is already set up and works fine from all computers. i just dont have the pc3 file for autocad, do i not need one since it works fine without it or should i look for it in another location? Quote

chelsea1307 Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 ok that makes sense, thats why the only ones i found were for 24x36 and half size (15x21) thanks Quote
